Turning Anxiousness into Peace With Positive Affirmations

Turning anxiousness into peace with positive affirmations and mantras.

When we are in an anxious state, we are thinking about the future which is thinking of something that hasn't even happened. I like to call this an illusion of thoughts, the "what ifs."

It is best to know your triggers and prevent you to feel anxious but sometimes that just does not work out that way.

So when we begin to notice the anxiousness kick in, it is a good idea to stop what you're doing and start stating mantras and/or positive affirmations either in our heads, out loud or even write them down - to help bring us back to center and focus.

This is a tool I worked on with my teen client in our 1:1 session tonight. My client shared an experience that I am sure we can all relate to. When we are late for an event or supposed to be somewhere at a certain time, we start to feel that anxiousness arise. This is when we should immediately begin to practice speaking/writing the mantras/affirmations so we can re-wire and train our brains to be at a more peaceful & calming space within. This takes practice & repetition. Even if we don't believe it at first, the more we practice it, the more we become it ~ so be patient with yourself during the process.

Let this also be a reminder that we are right where we are meant to be in each and every moment. We truly are!!!

May this be helpful to at least one person who reads this♡
