A strategy of visualization to help with relief of stress and/or anxiety:
Any thoughts that come to your mind, do not judge them.
Let your thoughts simply be what they are.
Visualize yourself standing next to a flowing creek with leaves surrounding you.
Allow the thoughts that make you feel anxious or stressed come to you (without judgment).
Visualize you picking up a leaf and put your anxious/stressed thoughts on that leaf.
Now that you have that leaf with your heavy thoughts on it in your hand, visualize yourself placing that leaf in the stream and watch the leaf flow away from you.
Say goodbye to this thought/leaf and reassure yourself you are not that thought.
Bring yourself to be in the present moment and name the things you are grateful for in your life.
Now be in peace.
