Arts & Healing Workshops with Rise and Dianne Furphy!
I am super excited to share that I have been facilitating Arts & Healing virtual workshops with Rise since the beginning of this summer! The first workshop was focused on Strengthen Self-Love where I provided an art exercise as a tool to bring out positive attributes within the group members. The second workshop was based on Acknowledging Stress and Anxiety. This is where I provided an art exercise as a strategy to cope with stress and anxiety.
The third workshop is based on Growing Your Mindfulness with Nature which is quickly approaching on Monday August 30th at 7:30 PM. This workshop will focus on being present and mindful in each of your moments. For this workshop, I will ask for you to go on a walk and be mindful and observant to the world around you and channel your energy within while you collect nature pieces you are drawn to (at least 10 or more pieces please). These pieces can look like sticks, leaves, rocks, stones, pine-cones or whatever it is that really stands out to you. I will then ask you to bring these 10+ nature pieces to this workshop, along with a hot a glue gun OR very strong glue such as gorilla glue.
