Tween Team-Building Art Workshop PART 2

Service Description

This Team-Building, Social Skills & Connection Art-Based Workshop PART 2 is designed to practice & develop social skills through art prompts & activities. Each class will build on positive interactions with group members, encourage individual creativity & increase member’s ability to express oneself in social settings while focusing on teen's positive attributes. The group members will meet weekly (total of 3 sessions) for 2 hours each session & will work on art exercises individually & as a group. The art supplies are included and the members are able to take home their art projects. The purpose of this workshop is for the members to gain connection, kreate, have fun & hopefully leave with a new friend or two! Topics of the Week: Week 1: The members will be using markers, illustration pens & gel pens where the member will create an animal that represents who they are, along with creating patterns using tissue paper & glue. Week 2: The teens will continue to work on getting to know each other by warm-up & icebreaker activities. The members will have the choice to either work individually or in a group & create a city using different shapes, glue, scissors, construction paper + more. Week 3: The group will be asked to team up & create a theme of choice with air-dried clay. This activity allows for the individual to socialize & learn more about the interests of the others in the group. After each art-making session, there will be a space for the teens to discuss & share their art work to the group (if they feel comfortable to do so). ***THIS IS A DROP-OFF WORKSHOP FOR TWEENS!*** FOR: Tweens ages 9 to 12 LOCATION: 1501 Lower State Road, North Whales PA 19454 BUILDING C - up the stairs DATES: Saturdays 4/13, 4/20, 4/27 TIME: 1:00PM to 3:00PM PRICE: $205 per individual This class is NON-CLINICAL! SMALL CLASS: SPACES ARE LIMITED to 6 participants per class! SIDE NOTE: Classes will be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather.
