Strength-Building: Tween Art-Based Class

Service Description

This 2-week “Strength-Building” Art-Based Workshop for tweens ages 9 to 12 will provide different art materials and art prompts to use as a tool to focus and build on the individual's strengths, attributes, self-awareness and mindset. Education, empowerment, along with how to identify one’s strengths will be discussed and acknowledged in class as well as deepening self-awareness. This class is all about exploring who you are within from your thoughts, to values, beliefs, attributes and aspirations. At the end of each class, there will be space to share your creations made in class and any other self-discoveries you have discovered about yourself. All materials are included and members are to take home their art project(s) along with the coping skills learned during class. The art materials & art activities that will be available and used in class: Week 1: All About Mindset Positive Affirmation Banner Materials: Illustration paper, markers, crayons, colored pencils, illustration markers, yarn, scissors, tape, scissors + more. Week 2: Self-Awareness Growth Exploring Internal Identity Materials: Cardboard, markers, crayons, glue, magazines, scissors + more! FOR: Tweens ages 9 to 12 LOCATION: 1501 Lower State Road (Building C - Up stairs) DATE: 5/3 & 5/10 TIME: 4:00PM to 5:30PM PRICE: $115 per individual ****THIS IS A DROP OFF CLASSS FOR TWEENS**** SIDE NOTE: Classes will be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Facilitated by Dianne Furphy, MS Kreative Self-Love Coach, Master Degree Art Therapist and Founder & Owner of Kreate What U Want LLC Dianne has all updated documentation for clearances: -Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance -Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Clearance -Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Family Criminal Clearance No student will be denied admission on the basis of race, color, gender or ethnic origin. However, Kreate What U Want reserves the right to refuse enrollment to participants with a history of disruptive behavior or for any impediment to the learning process of the group as a whole.
