Self-Love & Self-Care Through Art: Tween

Service Description

Teens ages 9 to 12 are welcome to join this 2.5 hour Self-Love & Self-Care ART-BASED Workshop! This Self-Love/Self-Care + Self-Worth Class will provide different art materials & prompts to the teen to use as a tool & resource as a form of self-love/self-care to creatively self-express & create a healthy relationship within themselves & in their daily routine. This class will focus on the significant benefits of self-love & self-care through mental, physical and emotional well-being by focusing on the tweens positive attributes & strengths. The teen will learn ways to strengthen self-love & implement self-care practices into one’s daily life through art. We will have open discussions, explore different art mediums while having the art prompts being used as their self-love/self-care tool. The art materials & art activities that will be used in class will be: 1.) Creating a gratitude jar with glass bottles & tissue paper, mod podge, sponge brush. 2.) Wooden Heart + brush pens - we will focus on our strengths and our self-worth with this activity. After each art-making session, there will be a space for the teens to discuss & share their art work to the group (if they feel comfortable to do so). The tweens will be able to take home their artwork, along with the learned coping skill that goes along with it! ***THIS IS A DROP-OFF WORKSHOP FOR TWEENS!*** This is also a non-clinical class. FOR: Tweens ages 9 to 12 LOCATION: 1501 Lower State Road (Building C - Up stairs) DATE: Sunday May 5, 2024 TIME: 1:00PM to 3:30PM PRICE: $95 per individual SIDE NOTES: Classes will be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Facilitated by Dianne Furphy, MS Kreative Self-Love Coach, Art Therapist and Founder & Owner of Kreate What U Want LLC Dianne has all updated documentation for clearances: -Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance -Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Clearance -Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Family Criminal Clearance -CPR Certified No participant will be denied admission on the basis of race, color, gender or ethnic origin. However, Kreate What U Want reserves the right to refuse enrollment to participants with a history of disruptive behavior or for any impediment to the learning process of the group as a whole.
