Martin Luther King Jr. Day Art Camp Create • Reflect • Inspire Join Kreate What U Want for a meaningful, art-based camp inspired by the life, values, and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This special camp invites youth to explore creativity, self-expression, and community through hands-on mixed media art projects that encourage reflection, connection, and positive self-identity. Throughout the camp, participants will be introduced to a variety of art materials and guided creative prompts designed to support imagination, collaboration, and thoughtful discussion around themes such as peace, dreams, goals, and making a positive impact. Art Activities Include: 🎨 Collaborative Mural Project Campers will work together to create a large group mural using paper, markers, crayons, and other mixed media materials—building teamwork, communication, and creative problem-solving. 🕊 Peace Sign Art Project Using paper plates and paint, campers will design their own peace symbol, encouraging personal expression and conversation around kindness, unity, and respect. ✨ “I Have a Dream” Mason Jar Participants will decorate a mason jar using tissue paper, Mod Podge, and other materials, then write down their personal dreams, goals, and hopes for the future to place inside—creating a meaningful keepsake they can take home. Camp Details: 📅 Date: Monday, January 20th ⏰ Time: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM 👧👦 Ages: 9–14 💲 Cost: $65 per participant 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Limited Enrollment: Only 8 campers to ensure a supportive, small-group experience. Important Information: Pre-registration is required. No walk-ins, please. Drop-off begins at 12:45 PM. Location: 1501 Lower State Road North Wales, PA 19454 Building C – Upstairs Kreate What U Want is committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment.
