Team Building Social Skills ART-BASED 4-Week Workshop for Teens starting March 19th!
Teens (ages 13 to 17) are welcome to join this TEAM-BUILDING SOCIAL SKILLS ART-BASED 4-Week Workshop!!
Starting next week on Sunday March 19th!!
Each class will build on positive interactions with group members, encourage individual creativity and increase member’s ability to express oneself in social settings while focusing on the teen's positive attributes.
LOCATION: Awaken & Restore Yoga Studio in Ambler PA. TIME: 2PM - 4PM
Each week we will use and explore with different art materials and work on different art prompts individually and as a group. Some of the art prompts and mediums used in classes will be:
Week 1: Teens will learn and share more about their self through collage-making with canvas, paper, magazines, books, scissors and glue.
Week 2: Teens will connect with their self and others through creating on blank puzzles with markers. Teens will have an opportunity to share their puzzles with other group members to put together their puzzle.
Week 3: Teens will create as a group through comic-making using paper and illustration pens and markers. Teens will also learn about and create positive affirmation cards.
Week 4: Teens will create a mural/mosaic together with paper and different mediums: crayons, colored pencils, gel pens, pastels and more. Teens will also have the opportunity to create for another group member using beads and string.
Teens will have an opportunity to share their art work with the class, if they feel comfortable to do so. There will also be other fun activities throughout the classes to get to know one another.
