Social Skills & Building Connection Art-Based 4-Week Workshop for Tweens and Teens
Kreate What U Want is excited to share that there will now be in-person workshops for tweens and teens! The workshops will be held in Blue Bell PA and will start in February 2023.
This Social Skills & Building Connection Art-Based Workshop is designed to practice and develop social skills through art prompts and activities. This group will build on positive interactions with group members, encourage individual creativity and increase member’s ability to express oneself in social settings.
The group members will meet weekly (for a total of 4 sessions) for 2 hours each session and will work on art exercises individually and as a group. The art supplies are included and the members are able to take home their art projects. This is a closed group meaning only the members who sign up in the beginning are to finish out to end. (I also offer an open group where walk-ins are welcome). The purpose of the closed group is for the members to gain connection, have consistency and hopefully leave with a new friend or two!
Week 1: Learn more about yourself and collage with paper, magazines, books and glue (You’re more than welcome to bring your own supplies too).
Week 2: Connect with yourself and others through puzzle-creating with markers and blank puzzles.
Week 3: Create a mural together with paper and different mediums: crayons, colored pencils, gel pens, pastels and more.
Week 4: Let’s giggle and laugh together through comic-making using paper and prismacolor markers.
