7 Ways to Cope with Anger and Frustrations

7 Ways to Cope with Anger and Frustrations

Each day is filled with such emotional surprises! One day can come with a mixture of ups-and-downs, others can be all uppers and other days can be all downers. Some days we are vibrating super-high and feeling so good that nothing can get in the way of that uplifting feeling. There are other days our feel-good vibes start to dissipate and deplete throughout the day or we may even wake up in a low space. However, it is so important to remember that: "No one can make us feel inferior without our consent." Which means that you are responsible to build your energy back up. When we experience some disruption in our high-vibrating days, it is on you to take action right away and respond in a healthy way. Some ways to handle and cope with anger and frustrations are to:

  1. Create Art. Express your feelings and emotions. Grab a piece of paper and markers and draw how you're feeling. Literally. Ask yourself "How am I feeling?" and then allow yourself to flow with whatever comes through you. It can be lines, shapes, zig-zags, whatever it is, kreate and express yourself and release those feelings and emotions.

  2. Exercise. Get your energy and blood circulation flowing and going, this helps improve your mood.

  3. Take A Walk. While taking a walk, observe your surroundings. Pick a color that relaxes you and point out everything that you see on your walk of that color which will help bring you out of that low mood and back into your moment of feeling good.

  4. Sit and Feel It. Sometimes we just have to sit in how we are feeling and allow it to come through-and-to us without judgement.

  5. Breathing Exercises. Breath it all out. Take a deep breath in, hold it for 4 seconds and release. Repeat as many times as needed to bring you back into a calm state and clear mind.

  6. Go for a Hike in Nature. Being in nature has so many benefits such as boosting energy, increasing pleasant feelings, reduces blood pressure and may help you feel more alive. Observe the grass, the clouds, color of the sky, tree branches and leaves while your at it (maybe even say hello and thank them for being there with you).

  7. Talk It Out With Someone You Trust. This can be your best friend, your life-coach, therapist, neighbor, a family member or your soul-friends. Sometimes talking it out with someone you feel comfortable with can be relaxing and put you at ease. If you have to ask them just to listen and not provide feedback, it is OK to do that too.

Tap-in and listen to your intuition and heart, they will surely guide you in the direction you are meant to be in.
